The 5-in-1 Combination Antenna (2J7A86BGFa) is part of our “Medusa” series and offers superior performance with dual 5GNR MIMO, dual 2.4/5.0/6.0 GHz ISM MIMO and single GPS/GNSS connectivity. This ultra-wide band antenna facilitates communications in MIMO, wireless, and navigation, allowing devices to remain online while moving through different coverage areas. These features make it a leading antenna solution for the next generation of mobile services including high-end public safety, railway, transportation, critical communications, automotive, industrial and consumer automation.
Connection 1 & 2: 5GNR
Cables 1 and 2 are designed for high traffic devices that operate within 5G NR, 4G LTE, FirstNet, CBRS, LPWA, CAT-X-Mx, CAT-NBx, NB-IoT, 3G and 2G standards. This antenna is designed with CAT-M technology taking LTE into the next generation of IoT applications making it fully compatible with existing LTE networks and reducing implementation costs for carriers via backward-compatibility. These dual connections bring exceptional signal strength and quality in a 360-degree radiation pattern while maintaining high peak gain of up to ~3.8 dBi and up to ~56.3% efficiency.
Connection 3 & 4: 2.4/5.0/6.0 GHz WiFi 6E ISM
Cable 3 and 4 are designed for LPWA devices that operate within WiFi, BT, ZigBee and ISM standards. The 2.4/5.0 GHz and the 6.0 GHz bands combine long-range, short-range, and very large capacity without competing with traffic from other devices or networks. This results in high bandwidth channels, improved security, less interference, and reduces network congestion making it ideal for low power home automation and monitoring applications that demand faster WiFi and consistent network availability. These two connections offer up to ~5.6 dBi peak gains and maximum efficiency of ~65%.
Connection 5: GPS/GLONASS
This single cable is tuned with precision and reliability for navigational applications that operate within GPS, QZSS, Galileo and GLONASS standards. With a hemispherical radiation pattern and right-hand circular polarization, cable 5 radiates on all planes and maximizes connectivity by avoiding conflict with propagating signals, penetrating obstructions, reducing dead spots, boosting throughput, and improving resistance to signal degradation caused by inclement weather conditions. Cable 5 can maintain an active peak gain of 23 dBi @ 3V/ 24 dBi @ 5V. The SAW post-filter blocks inadequate frequencies with an out of band rejection of ~32 dB across the 1575 – 1602 MHz bands.
Installation / Environmental
The 2J7A86BGFa is protected with a robust and heavy-duty housing made with high-quality acrylonitrile styrene acrylate (ASA) UV stable material, known for its thermal resistant properties, and a plastic antenna base as an alternative low-cost solution to the metal base option. Ground plane independence and screw mount technology allow for solidly locking the antenna on top of its mounting location making its installation easy and reliable. Cables and connectors can be customized to specific requirements. The IP67 and IP69 ingress ratings provide this compact antenna with maximum protection against dust and water penetration, while the IK09 rating adds an extra level of anti-vandal security, with high impact resistance.
